Day 1: Travel to Kisoro

Start with breakfast, then fly from Entebbe to Kisoro. Kisoro is near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga National Parks, prime spots for primate safaris. Stay at Gahinga Lodge if trekking in Mgahinga, or Clouds Lodge for Bwindi. In the evening, visit local coffee plantations. Dinner and overnight at Gahinga Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga

After breakfast, head to Mgahinga National Park for a briefing and start your gorilla trek. The trek lasts 3-5 hours, and you’ll spend one hour watching the gorillas. Spot other primates and birds along the way. Return to Gahinga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking

After breakfast, go to the park headquarters for a briefing and start your trek to find golden monkeys. This trek lasts 3-5 hours. Watch the monkeys in their bamboo forest habitat. Return to the hotel for lunch, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Sabinyo Hike

Enjoy breakfast, then drive to Mount Sabinyo for a guided hike. The hike takes 5-6 hours through tropical vegetation and bamboo. At the summit, you’ll stand in three countries and enjoy stunning views. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, fly from Kisoro to Kasese. A guide will take you to Papaya Safari Lodge near Kibale Forest. If time allows, explore the local community or swim. Dinner and overnight at Papaya Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

After breakfast, go to Kibale Forest for a briefing on chimp tracking. Trek through the forest to find chimps, spotting other primates and birds along the way. Return to the lodge for lunch, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, check out and travel back to Kampala.
